Tales from the Tall Cans

Colt 45 is desperately trying to grab a new, young market of drinkers. Due to the drink’s bad rap and an aging market, the company has come up with a rather creative way to stir up a buzz. A new campaign, “Classic 40 Ounce: Tales From the Brown Bag” features images of twenty-something year olds drinking their beloved Colt 45 in social settings such as rooftop parties and dance clubs. The campaign also includes the distribution of brown paper bags with illustrations of people’s adventures while drinking the product- a tactic that has caught a lot of negative rap.
