GM is trying to change the face of Hummer. Faced by its previous image as a gas-guzzling environment enemy, the Hummer is undergoing a transformation into a heroic vehicle that saves lives. The plans for the “Hummer Helps” campaign entail showing actual footage of how rescue workers rely on a Hummer to save others. GM is asking rescue teams to film themselves using the vehicle in real emergency situations. While the idea is great, acquiring footage will be a difficult challange for GM, as many rescuers refuse to film themselves in such situations.
